OJ Digital Health · England · For registered pharmacies

We build the consumer front end.
A registered pharmacy owns the care.

OJ Digital Health is a UK company being incorporated to launch a consumer health brand in England. We are not a healthcare provider — we build the brand, the acquisition and the website, and we partner with a GPhC-registered pharmacy that owns prescribing and clinical care entirely.

01

Who we are

A small team building a consumer health brand where the clinical layer belongs to a pharmacy partner — by design, not by default.

We are founded by Owen Bendon and Joseph Strickley, and we are incorporating a holding company, OJ Digital Health Ltd, in England. The consumer brand we launch will be a separate brand under that company. Our working assumption is a simple one: attention and trust are earned on the front end, and safe care is delivered by people who are registered to deliver it.

  • Legal status OJ Digital Health Ltd — incorporation in progress
  • Regulatory position Deliberately not a healthcare provider
  • Patient data None collected until a DPA is in place
  • Clinical content Written by our pharmacy partner, not by us
02

The model

One brand, one clinical owner. The division of labour is clear, contractual and stated here in plain terms.

We own

  • Brand, positioning and category research
  • Website and patient-facing experience
  • Marketing and acquisition
  • Honest volume forecasting, shared openly

Our pharmacy partner owns

  • Prescribing and clinical content
  • The clinical record and patient data
  • Safeguarding and complaints
  • Dispensing and delivery
  • Clinical governance, under their superintendent
We do not employ prescribers, write the medical questions, or access patient records. That boundary is the point of the model — not a detail to be negotiated away.
03

Why we’re entering this

Care is moving online — trust is the bottleneck

Patients increasingly expect a considered, professional route to care on their phone. The brands that win are the ones patients trust; the trust is earned by the clinician behind the brand.

Different jobs, different skills

Building an audience and running a clinical service are different crafts. We would rather do one exceptionally well and pay a pharmacy properly for the other than pretend to do both.

Honest about volume

We plan a controlled pilot of around 75 dispenses a month while we prove the funnel, growing to roughly 300 by month six and 800 by month twelve if acquisition holds. These are planning figures from our own model — not commitments.

Not a tech company playing at healthcare

We are not building eligibility logic, employing prescribers, or taking a margin on medicines. We take a B2B fee from our partner for what we bring: patients, brand and front-end experience.

04

What we’re looking for

A GPhC-registered pharmacy, superintendent-led, that wants a dependable brand partner — and that is willing to be asked the hard questions first.

We would rather establish fit on day one than discover it in month six. These are the questions we bring to a first conversation:

  1. Which categories do you support today, and what formulary do you work to?
  2. Would you be merchant of record, with a B2B fee paid back to us?
  3. How does CQC registration sit in your governance — is your service CQC-registered, or pharmacist-led?
  4. Would your superintendent review our marketing before publication, as a standing process?

A 20-minute call is enough for both sides to know whether this is worth pursuing. We will not ask for access to clinical records, and we will not ask you to carry our brand risk.

05

Governance & safety posture

Being the non-clinical partner does not mean having no obligations. It means having different ones.

  • Marketing No clinical claims, no promotion of prescription medicines, no condition-specific promises without partner review
  • Data ICO registration completed before any personal data is collected; a DPA with our partner before any patient data flows
  • Complaints Front-door handling by us; clinical complaints owned by the partner, in line with their procedures
  • Regulation We are not CQC-registered and do not intend to be — the partner is the regulated clinical provider in this model
